Validators
Information on validators and how they interact with the protocol
Phuture runs validators to ensure the proper operation of the platform. At launch Phuture will manage all validators on the network. Over time validators will become permissionless. Validators execute three core protocol functions:
  1. 1.
    Rebalancing
  2. 2.
    Recapitalisation
  3. 3.
    Reweighting

Rebalancing

Validators interact with Phuture's smart rebalancing logic to retrieve data on which assets are out of balance and the desired trade quantities. This data is then passed into Phuture's order router to be executed onchain through Uniswap or Sushiswap.

Recapitalisation

Validators monitor the health of asset reserves within each vault and move assets between Yearn and Phuture's vault. When reserves exceed the target, assets are moved from Phuture to Yearn. When reserves fail to meet the target, assets are moved from Yearn to Phuture.

Reweighting

On a periodic basis validators will refresh dynamic data stored in reference contracts. An example of a dynamic dataset is market cap data. This data is used to set the intended weights of the assets within the index. In addition, validators will reallocate the ownership that an index has on the assets within the vault based on the new intended weights.
